·               Earned the Motorola Award from Edward F. Staiano who was the President of the Motorola General Sector Group, from the Award & Recognition Program for exceptional work on a project in Brazil.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Field Technician – Strategic Direct Solutions (11/2014 – Present Flower Mound, TX)

I am presently working on a short term contract to install preprogrammed ALU 7705 Routers and then to migrate from the old Prisma equipment at each site with a hot cutover and work with a team on a bridge to verify that the cutover was successful and then to remove the old equipment and to loop the old fiber ring so existing customers do not have outages. Most of the equipment is installed on a wall or is rack mounted. Depending on the service needed I also installed a battery back up power supply designed for the equipment or a standard UPS for the rack mounted units. I then follow up by completing the site survey for each site with additional information and photos.

 

Field Technician – Rightech (08/2014 – 10/2014 Woodbridge, NJ)

Worked in Jacksonville, Florida upgrading Ericsson 6102 cabinets for 65 Mhz and 2.5 Ghz equipment. This includes reconfiguring and replacing existing modules for the required technology updates.

 

Field Technician – Worldlink (04/2013 – 07/2014 Frisco, TX)

I worked on the integration and trouble shooting of Samsung 3G, 4G and 2.5 Ghz MMBS equipment for Sprint. The work included loading Cisco router scripts and DU ENV files on the 800 and 1900 3G, and 4G cards and bringing the equipment into service for site commissioning and following up with the ATP. Other duties included fiber insertions and T1 routing through the router in preparation for the transition from the Legacy equipment to the Samsung MMBS equipment. I also worked to troubleshoot issues with the MMBS equipment while in service.

 

Installer – Data Work Force (03/2013 – 04/2013 Frisco, TX)

Worked as an installer on AT&T sites with Parson’s. This work included installing Ericsson RRUS’s, SFP’S and running fiber from the RRU’s to the DUW ports, running grounds from the radios and connecting the power. Most of the work was for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th carriers as well as LTE radios. Additional work included radio replacement on the existing network.  Note: This was a one month contract.

Field Technician – Airwave Telecom  (06/2012 – 03/2013 Austin, TX)

Conducted site surveys for the T-Mobile Modernization project in Austin and San Antonio Texas. In Houston Texas our company was subcontracted by Goodman Networks. I performed Pre-Construction walks with NSN and T-Mobile for their 2G and 3G Modernization and LTE projects. Also worked with the site builds to add new Nokia Siemens radios, run dc cables, fiber jumpers, T1’s, LMU cables and ran conduits between the BBU’s, covp’s, FCOA, Ultrasite and Telect cabinets as required. This includes working with the installation teams and tower crew ground teams on the site builds for the installation of hybrid fiber cables. Received Nokia certification for C-RRU Rooftop Ground level 1,

Field Technician - Oxford International (03/2012 – 06/2012 Beverly, MA)

Primary duties in the Cricket Tennessee market were to pull cat 5 cables to add EVDO circuits and terminate them to the Lucent BTS equipment from the Demarcation point and test for telco connectivity. Update and add grounding for each T1 as needed. Once the Cricket work in Tennessee was completed at the end of April, I was recommended by the Cricket team in Nashville for the Cricket Equipment migration work in Houston Texas.

·   Other tasks required have been to troubleshoot BTS issues and replace modules as required.

·   Install and power up Cisco routers in the Nortel Metrocell BTS equipment and/or move the routers and setup in the new Ericsson cabinets for the Houston Market.

·   Load the script files into the Cisco MWR2941 Mobile Wireless Routers.

·   Add Dom cards into the Nortel Metrocell BTS as part of the expansion process in the Houston market.

 

Field Technician - Oxford International (10/2011 – 11/2011 Beverly MA)

Contributed analytical and critical thinking skills in facilitating swing test sites for cutover in Verizon’s New Mexico markets. Effectively wired-up DSX cross connect panels to ready sites for cutover and test calls, as well as verifying sites are ready for cutover.

·   Oversaw the performance of cutover sites to effectively integrate them into the New Mexico system.

·   Successfully evaluated, resolved, and loaded files onto the Motorola 4812 BTS and the high capacity UBS’s, further illustrating technical expertise.

Thailand Sabbatical - Walen School of Language (9/2009-9/2010 Bangkok, Thailand)

I did not work or earn income during this time period. Developed and applied a strong understanding of Thai language and culture.  Proactively assisted a Thai farmer harvest his rice crop and supported Buddhist Monks in moving boulders in order to construct WAT (Temple) in the mountains.
